Emma gets Jiggly With It!
Mommy had the brilliant idea the other day to see if Emma would like jello as a cold treat for her when she is teething, so she dug around in the pantry and found a box of Jello powder that was several years older than Emma, but mixed it up anyway. (Who knew Jello could expire???) Needless to say, one shouldn't mess with old jello, because when Mommy gave Emma some to try the next day, it liquefied upon contact with Em's hot, little hands. What a mess! Emma was red (it was cherry jello) from the top of her hair down to her legs - it soaked right through her jammies where she rubbed it into her thighs. This meant Emma got an extra-special morning bath before Mommy would take her out in public... and it meant Mommy was determined to master the complexities of making Jello so it would not melt into a sticky mess! We stopped at the grocery store and bought some new, fresh boxes of Jello and Mommy made up a batch of "Jello Jigglers" first thing this morning. By the time Emma had lunch, they were ready.... and Emma thought they were quite a treat! Here's the first bite of Jiggler going in (this time it was a combo of raspberry and grape) and here is Emma showing how much she likes them! To paraphrase Will Smith, Em got Jiggly With It and was sad when there were no more. (Wait 'til she finds out there are lots more Jiggler cubes waiting in the fridge for dessert tonight!)
