HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA!!!
Emma is now officially a ONE YEAR OLD - where has the time gone? To celebrate the big event, Mommy and Daddy let Emma have one of her birthday presents as soon as she woke up - a brand new phone! Later that day, we had a birthday party, complete with Winnie the Pooh theme and lots of balloons. Daddy made his specialty - BBQ from the Dinosaur BBQ cookbook, and everyone enjoyed the food out on the deck before the raindrops started falling and we had to head indoors. Emma got lots of great presents, including a cute outfit complete with Winnie the Pooh hat from her friend Davey and his mom and dad, some neat maracas from her friends Elizabeth and Colleen and their parents, a whole bunch of Little People farm toys from her Aunt Cathy, and a Winnie the Pooh from London from her Auntie Sarah. She enjoyed playing with Elizabeth and Colleen, who are experts on the Little People toys, being the owners of quite a collection themselves. Party Girl Emma also enjoyed her very first birthday cake, which of course was also Winnie the Pooh. She hadn't ever eaten pure sugar like that before, and boy, did she enjoy it!! As the party wound down, Em took the chance to hang out with her Grandpa and Bubbe and give her friend Colleen a hug before everyone headed home and Emma headed off to bed.
