Storytime Saturdays
Emma, as you may know, is a storytime regular during the week over at Barnes and Noble. She has been going for a while now, and likes to hang out with her friends like Kyle, Rachel, Taylor, Colleen and Elizabeth. Even better than that, though, is when it is a week with a Saturday storytime too, because that means she gets to go with Mommy and Daddy. Today was one of those Saturdays, and Emma had a good time as always listening to Mike tell a funny story and then sing songs. Emma is getting better at the regular storytime songs, like Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and If You're Happy and You Know It, though she wishes that they would sing Little Bunny Foo Foo again one of these days. Emma is a big fan of bopping field mice on the head (well, actually, she's a fan of bopping anyone or anything on the head that will let her!) Emma gets lots of good ideas for books to take out of the library from the stories that Mike tells every week. Right now, she's waiting for Hilda Must Be Dancing to come in - Daddy checked yesterday, but it wasn't there yet. Emma posed with Mike, the "Storytime Guy," after storytime today, though she was a bit wiggly when Daddy was taking the picture. (You might notice that the children's section of B&N is decorated like the 100 Acre Wood, which of course Emma likes since that is the theme of her nursery too!) Emma is looking forward to going to her friends Colleen and Elizabeth's birthday party next week because she heard that Mike is going to be there to tell stories along with all the yummy Chinese food Colleen and Elizabeth's daddy said they are going to make.
