Emma's eyes
We just got back from Emma's appointment at the pediatric opthamologist, and GREAT NEWS!!! The doctor did a thorough examination (including eye drops so Em's pupils are huge right now) and looked at the pictures we brought with us (at the recommendation of our pediatrician) and the doctor's verdict is that her eyes are FINE!! No glasses, no eye patch, no surgery needed! We have to keep a close eye on Emma (pun intended) and she has to go back for a re-check in 6 months or sooner if we notice anything amiss, but that is it. Emma opted not to wear the "supercool" disposable sunglasses the nurse gave us (yep, they make them in baby sizes too!) and was verrrrrry squinty on the ride home since she sacrificed comfort for style. She is now sleeping off the eyedrops in her nice, dark nursery.
