Mommy's new "do" (aka Hair today, Gone tomorrow)
Well, I did it. I resisted what I call the "new mom haircut" for eight months, but I finally caved in today. At 1:45 this afternoon, I had my trusty hairdresser, Wanda, make the cut - the one that lopped off almost 16 inches of hair in one fell swoop! In total, she took off about 20 inches, and did an admirable job copying the picture I'd brought with me to the salon for a point of reference. The reaction when I arrived home was interesting - Chris was enthusiastic, while Emma just stared and stared. I didn't think she'd notice the change that much, since she has seen me with my hair pulled back, piled up, and wrapped in a towel, but she definitely seemed to notice!
- Here is the new, short hairdo!
- Em really checked out Mommy's new look pretty closely,
- and finally decided she likes it, though she does seem disappointed with the lack of pullability since Mommy's hair is now about as long as Chloe the cat's fur. (Chloe would like to point out that Emma manages to pull her fur just fine, thank you.)
- Another event that occurred this afternoon was the first time we gave Emma cheddar cheese to try, and Emma was not liking the taste at all. Guess she'll need to acquire the taste for sharp cheese as she gets older.
