Em found her thrill...
... on Blueberry Hill, to paraphrase that 50s (and Happy Days) classic tune. Emma decided to celebrate turning 3/4 (yep, she was 8 months old on Monday!) by trying out a new food - blueberries! Here is the photo recap of the occasion, helpfully assisted by Daddy on the digital camera, which is why the shots are coming from an angle not usually seen while Mommy simultaneously feeds Emma and tries to catch her reactions on camera:
- Emma may not be so happy when the rules change later, but nowadays she gets to eat dessert first, since we let her munch on a cookie while we are getting her meal ready. What can we say - it keeps her quiet and occupied while we're futzing about the kitchen!
- Em helpfully pointed to the spot where she wanted Mommy to put the spoon, though a good bit always winds up elsewhere on her face too. Mommy dutifully complied with Em's request.
- Emma made her classic reaction face to the first mouthful of blueberries.
- Em quickly decided that blueberries are great!
- Mommy tried to get a post-blueberries close-up of Emma's teeth, since we can see them when she smiles now, but the teeth didn't quite get captured on film until later in the evening, when Emma was fussing on her changing table after her bath. Tooth number 3 has broken through on the top, and tooth number 4 looks to be appearing imminently.
