Dairy Queen?
Well, it may not have been an ice cream sundae, but Emma had her first taste of dairy yesterday, other than her formula, of course. She was ready to try cottage cheese, not realizing that it wasn't going to be the typical, warm meal she was used to eating. When the first mouthful went in, she was quite surprised, to say the least! The look on her face clearly said "What the heck is this?!?!?" Daddy thought Emma wouldn't be able to blow spit bubbles with the cottage cheese the way she does with her other, more pureed entrees, but Em proved him wrong in no time! Although we coaxed her into giving us one cottage cheese smile, her overall reaction is best summed up with this shot: "Cottage cheese - EWWW!" We will see if she gets more accustomed to it as the days pass... We've heard a rumor that there is going to be an Abbott's Frozen Custard shop built just up the block from us, so Em needs to acclimate to dairy soon so she can enjoy getting cones and sundaes with us next summer! (Abbott's is Daddy's favorite frozen dessert, after all!)
